I think its been talked about several times about how poor the coating was on the older 509 lenses. I recall some guys talking about a easy way to remove the crappy/scratches mirror coating. Got some mirrored yellow lenses I want to remove the coating on. thanks for any tips. Eric

Couldnt find it in the search but I needed to try something. Alcohol and water (40/60) solution did the trick. Microfiber towel, spray with solution and let it soak a few seconds then rub with towel. Mirror coating comes right off and doesnt damage the surface. Now I have a like new yellow lens :) Eric

****! Really? Must have been why mine came off. I bought a new lens. I have isopropyl in a eye glass cleaner bottle to spray on when i fog. Works great on my other goggles, mixes with the sweat and evaporates..... then i did this on my 509s and it half came off.... Wonder if i still have that lens to finish the job.
