509 Helmets

Did some searching and couldn't find anything. Anyone use the 509 helmets? I found one a really like but the $180 price tag scares me. Seems like it might be on the cheap side for that price (hopefully 509 doesn't raise the price now that I said that). I really want the Shoei, but it is too expensive at $478.

I think they are new so finding people that have used them may be tough until next season. I'd say give it a shot, Tom has always stood behind his products and I'm sure if you're not happy with it he'll help you out.

Yes, they are new, however the company we teamed up with to manufacture them is not. They've been in the business for 35 years making helmets.

They are a polycarbonate shell, unlike a higher end carbon/kevlar so that is one contributing factor for the sub $200 price tag. That being said they still weigh in at just over 3 lbs.

I wore a prototype all last year and absolutely loved it. Fits 509 goggles perfectly.

I ordered two last night also. No doubt in my mind that Tom has put alot of thought into this and will be a good product. Now just cant wait to try it out.

With the free goggles it's a $100.00 helmet, if you don't like it I'm sure you could sell it for more and make a profit!!

thanks, i wish i knew what helemet size my wife was, she needs the pink one to match her fxr suit and a white pair of goggles but i just dont know.................................... maybe ill just bit the bullet and pay extra for hers later.

Would be a headache to get rand resend a ton of helmets as they are bigger than goggles haha, but ya, not knowing anyone who has warn one and everyone buying on whim, nobody knows if they run big or small....

yeah, that jacket is pretty slick Tom!! When you gona start making gear too so we can have some dern style on the slopes instead of boring ole Klim gear EVERYWHERE you look!?!?!
