I use the brown polarized and they are awesome. Worth every penny in my book. The smoke have a slight tint to them which will slightly effect the performance of the polarized.

Thanks, I just hate having to switch to a different pair when the light gets low.
Do these newer lenses scratch as easily as the old ones ? or did they use a different coating on them ?

I've never had a problem with them scratching so I can't say yes or no.

ive got the smoked ones and i really love them on the sunny days but when its a little darker it gets kinda hard to see.

I also have the smoke and have a hard time seeing in low light. My husband has the brown and they are much better all around, imho.

I use the polarized light sensitive lenses and I LOVE THEM! They are awesome and I don't have to change for different lighting conditions as they adjust to all conditions except for freeezing fog - then I would need some heated ones. lol!

My hubby & daughter both have the 509 goggles and they like them a lot. I wear the Smith XI and have not had any problems with mine but I do think that I will switch over to 509's as soon as I get to the gitten place to purchase them. I need a second pair of goggles anyways.....
