509 FILMS: RED EPIC camera shoot!

Euro disco wave music finally hits SW 5 years after it was cool. I remember in the 90s when dayglo was the shiznit. Other than that great video.

Looking sick! Love the Moon Drop shot. 509 films is quickly becoming my favorite of all footage.

No, not everything is in slow motion. But the RED EPIC camera, which is rarely used for snowmobiling, really shines in that department so that is the style of this shoot. We will be shooting more climbing, etc the next few months and will have normal speed shoots as well.

i remember hearin about the RED camcorder in 9th grade. im not sure if it was the EPIC or not, but the one i saw in highschool shot at 1,000,000 frames per second, and msrp was around $17,000. can anyone confirm this? its info i got from my video productions teacher..

that camera would be filthy for recording lightning strikes in the off season.

That first write up is the old RED ONE. We were shooting with the new EPIC model. http://www.red.com/products/epic

The EPIC shoots 300 frames per second max, and up to 5k resolution(over 4 times greater than HD) and costs $58,000 for the body, etc WITHOUT lenses.

We are very fortunate to be teaming up with Sky from RAGE films to be able to use this camera.

i gotta congratulate you guys in your achievemets. ive seen your movies since day one, and they kept getting better i wish you guys much more success in the future.

loved the 509 vol 6 video. Would of been better to have a little more vol of the sleds motors. Puts you to sleep.

That camera is ridiculous! I thought they did a great job of show casing the cameras abilities to capture moments. Loved the song too! Pretty sure given the budget, phil could match the "art of flight" step for step! Good stuff!

Man, the colors you can get out of that R3D codec are sick!

Really well shot.

If I ever learn to associate that music with sledding and start listening to that in the truck on the way to ride, I'm turning in my testicles.
