So... I've been studying the wiring harness on my new hawk quite a bit to figure out where I am gonna install a headlight voltage regulator.
I located the stock voltage regulator and it looks nearly identical to the headlight one. Also noticed that they are only using one side of the coil, the YL/BK wire ends at the connector. This makes things nice and simple.
I am wondering if anyone has tryed using the "headlight voltage regulator", from the "Headlight Problem Finally Fixed" thread, in place of the stock regulator. Since the 500f ignition box is on a separate coil, this could work very nicely if the headlight voltage regulator is higher quality than the stock one.
If not, I plan to just run it in parallel with the stocker. Please let me know if any of you have tried this. Thanks.
