5 flash blink code

so on sunday my sled started flashing the egt code(5 flashes), i had no runability issues, the sled still ran fine all day

today i swapped out my egt sensor with a good one off a buddies sled and it still is flashing

does the code have to be reset with digital wrench to clear the ecu or what?

When we had one go, we just change it and it was ok. Maybe you have to run it and get the exhaust up to temp? Did you check the plug in or harness is ok?

the main harness looks fine, i let it idle for a minute or two, but i didnt let it warm up to operating temp

sled with reset itself. needs to be above i believe 4000 rpm for 30 seconds

yeah just take it for a short ride and it we reset it self, i always keep an extra in my trailer, when sensor goes bad it should cause your sled to run bad on bottom end. it goes into a fail mode.

One of our 09's had to have the code erased with the digital wrench. Did everything you did with the swap out, even ran the bad one (after cleaning well with mass air flow cleaner) in the donor sled and it didn't show a code after cleaning.

We had several rides where the code never went away but the sled ran great. You may have to take it in. Good luck. EW

after my last post last night i went back out to the garage and let the sled warm up to operating temp and it cleared the code all seems fine now, just need to ride it, but im sure its ok, thanks for the help guys
