We have had 2 avy related deaths North of Whistler and 3 in Montana this past weekend. The warm wet snow and high winds contributed to the higher avalanche warnings thru-out most of the western states and Canada. The weather has everything to do with the danger level.!
We lose an average of 30 US fatalities every year and about 15 more in Canada. Many more are injured, many with life changing disabilities.
