Getting some vertical on the DH bike though when I'm nor sledding! Cleared all the hits at WP on sunday... it was a good day! Got my whip about 90% back, pretty stoked.

Keep in mind, we'll be driving to the snow, so if you guys are trailering you may have issues. I'd highly recommend just bringing truck & sled or sled deck, otherwise we'll be turning the trailer by hand (assuming you can get around it on the road) or you'll be driving a long ways up dirt.

How far away from steamboat is jones pass? I might be down for some 4th of july sleddin

you guys are in denial that the season is over....give it up, "its over Johnny". this is why god made stand up jet skis and lake powell so us combustion freaks can calm the shakes

but dont worry, there are 2 seasons in CO, 4th of July and winter, it will wind up again soon....

Trying to attach a map for ya:)

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm ... 5.5 hours.

For 4th of july sleddings.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm....

I could just grab a room in Empire on Fri. night and ride in the morning.

Hmmmmmmmmm...

Will ponder.

Count me in, I be coming up and try bring aphoric, Tsteff and possibly another dude with me.

I dunno, it was about half a mile of dirt almost two weeks ago... Someone with lots of time on their hands needs to check out cottonwood, close and I think access will be easy.

Dogmeat, Buff Pass out of Steamboat has the most snow in the state right now by far.

Can you even unload anywhere down low at this point? It was looking pretty scarce along the highway 2 weeks ago, I would have thought there would have been virtually nothing left by Dumont at this point.

I would drive up toward Buff without a trailer before hand to see how far you could get, or use a sled deck. Turn around might be a PITA. This is why the snowies are nice this time of year, park right at the top!

Rode my back yard yesterday...

Kickin out off the cornice on July 2...

CO Matt, getting his tripod sidehill on. We found that we could slide our outside foot along the snow, kinda like barefooting, it was pretty interesting!

Matt got himself into a bit of a pickle above a chute climb... we had to do some engineering to get his sled down safely.

Me (and armysledder off camera) belaying Matt's sled safely down to the rocks. We dug in two shovels like flukes, tied double munter hitches on them & slowly brought the sled back down to safety (been climbing since I was 8, some of that stuff comes in handy from time to time). Slope was 43 degrees where he was stuck, and it suddenly turned stiff, and he had no traction to keep climbing.

Peter, the true Badazz!!!
This guy rides where I do as much or more than me. Wool gloves, OLD teles... dude is what CORE REALLY MEANS. He won't take a ride, but is super friendly to all the sledders, and they all show him the same love back... Hung out with him for a while,
Peter could teach CLASSES on how backcountry people SHOULD BE!

There were bus sized pieces of cornice in places, I found this one rather interesting though!

And my favorite shot, on the way out.

Co Matt, Armysledder, and Bparks, on the way home. It doesn't get better than this does it?
