450 or CR500?

Thinking about buying a CR500 to replace my 450 Honda and am weighing each option. I know the 500 would be awesome on big long climbs, but I'm guessing the 450 would be better on everyday through the tree stuff? Lets hear it...

:juggle:

If you don't mind old school...The cr has more bottom middle and total h.p. Easier to mod and get more cheaper to fix...I've owned crf have 3 kxf and im putting my kit on the old cr.....to each his own.

CR's are great, just don't put one in an aluminum frame (vibes become too bad)

I disagree, I had zero vibration issues with mine.

There are pros and cons to each setup. I like them both. Ultimately I wanted nitro, and the EFI mx'rs are easy to put nitro on - plus I wanted a 4-stroke for summer riding...

Having said that, my CR500AF is for sale. $4800

I didn't have vibration issues either, until the frame broke from crap welds and a nice crash.

The cost difference on an engine rebuild makes the 500 a really good option, plus it will retain value well where a 450 depreciates a ton.

450, you get to shift less, which can be nice.
