It's looked after, vet rider, only used for am-cross, not ridden hard, how many hours left in this bike before major service?
Bike looks like new
Been serviced meticulously
I'm thinking about buying it
Won't quote price, I'm an ocean away, just keen to hear thoughts?

Should be a good bike. Assuming cross country racing? As long as the air filter was cleaned on a regular basis.
If it were me and wanted a newer ktm 450 i would just spring for the 15 factory edition or the 16. They got quite a few updates.
Unless this bike is a screaming deal

Just do a valve adjustment and a leak down test and you will know. Every KTM I have worked on smells like it is burning oil, so that is normal. The hours are not bad at all for that bike.

I wouldn't buy any used 4 stroke with near 50 hours without budgeting in the possibility of a top end. If you take an overall average that's when they start to need attention. And the 16 is night and day cooler.

I know you didn't want to tell the price, but unless it's in the $6000 USD range I'd look for something else. But, that's just my opinion.
