I sleeved 2 holes in a 409 chev block. Wow what a job. Never do that again.

I got a 409 sitting in a '63 truck. Need to pull it and find something a little cooler to put it in!
The only pics that I could get are of a bare block. Its not mine, belongs to a customer. Pistons are on order then I will finish hone it. As far as cool, leave your 409 installed. What else would put in??? A big block, no leave what you got.

The 409 is one of the coolest motors ever built. The Beach Boys even mention it one of their songs. I believe it was the first motor to ever be rated as having 1 hp per cubic inch. Correct me if I'm wrong though.

The impala they came in were cool, but I would like to have one of those motor in about a 62 bubble top Biscanne , Or set in it my 28` Ford Coupe Open wheel street Rod, Chopped and Channeled, would Look Better than the 327 I have in it now, even though it runs Darn good now for a 2100lb Car.

Nothing is beyound repair. It comes down to $$$$. How much do you want to spend. I charged the man $620.00 To sleeve 2 holes, and deck the block. The sleeves were extra. This is refering to the 409.
