4 stroke question

With the 4 strokes getting more attention, we have been thinking about trying one out. My question is if you put one on its top for very long is it a long trip on a short rope? Is it only if it is running and goes upside down or just a quick roll - how long is too long?

the worst thing that can happen is you lose some oil out the breather they are all dry sump the efi ones will run for awhile before dying the carb ones will shut off in a few seconds.you just flip them back up let it sit for a second if its a long time on its lid then fire it up no probs.

The EFI units will shut off if they're tipped over,( tip over switch,or when the fuel pick up comes out of the fuel it will die.) and like Shane says the carbed versions will flood out and die.My buddy has had enough of his two stroke sh!tt'n the bed, and he's selling it and buying a four stroke.

Mine shuts off but what shuts them off?? Is it a Oil psi sensor??? If so it still can't be that good for it right when or if the throttle pins WOT.

It has a tip over sensor, also if the pick up runs out of fuel, and the Apex and Phazer have low oil pressure switches. So there are a few safe guards.

The Nytro just looses oil out of the breather. I've had mine upside down a lot and it always starts right up. I do carry an extra quart in the front of the sled in place of the tool kit(which is in my pack)
