4 stroke Jetting

I am currently doing some research on 4 strokes to see if they will be right for me, I have ridden a few apexes, and RX-1's. I cant afford an Apex right now so it would probably be an RX-1, one of my concerns is about jetting, how finiky are the 4 strokes?? I know 2 strokes can be pretty finiky with altitude, but in general they arent hard to rejet, but a 4 cylinder is a bit more work. I ride from 2500-6000 ft, and basically want to start and go. Any input would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

It's not that bad once you get it right. Takes about an 45 mins to an hour if you know what you are doing. Now that I have it jetted right I can ride from 3500 to 6500 w/o any issues. Jet it for your elevation and forget it. Only time I had to jet up was when I put on K&N's and gutted exhaust. Went from 135's to 165's. Now with Turbo I am back to 135's.

Turbo rx1's are super easy to jet. I run 130's at 8-10000K and hit 12:5's. This is consistent from 10-15 psi. More boost you run, more pressure you send to the float bowls, more fuel so it's a linear addition of fuel to boost. This is the set up for most Trx1's. Pretty slick. The cool thing about jetting 4 strokes is you just get a wideband and it will tell you exactly where you are. I imagine at your elevation and a 2860rs you would be 135 or so with your mains.
