4" pods?

Sure just as long as your not getting something that restricts your air flo , if there like a k&n make up not multi layers of tight foam you shouldnt bother it a bit . If your going away from foam or an air box you may need to richen a jet size if you dont have an attac system cause the free er air flow will allow the machine to run better but leaner because of increased air flow

foam pods vs SNOW pods

i just put new snow pod filters on my 503. the stock ones were more like a moto foam type and the new snow ones are more like fuel cell foam, very open corse foam.. am i gonna have to rejet?

Not likely, the black pods are single foam, no seams or laminates to slow the air. The open cell may flow more, but on the 503, only marginally so. The 600 pulls a full thousand more RPMs and the respective air flow would likely need rejetting as the hawkdog described. Do a WFO plug chop on a warm motor and check the plugs, I bet if they were chocolate before the new pods, they are lightly toasted brown. If they were light brown/yellow already, they may get too light with the new filters plus the risk of x-tra cold air temps and need more fuel to be on the safe side.

thanx

thought it would be okay, but checked the well of useful info anyway. no room for 6" pods with 550.
