4 long tracks on a 20' floe open trailer

i am looking for an open 4 place trailer. im not finding much in my area except a 20' (plus the V) floe trailer. will 4 153-155'' sleds fit on this thing without hanging off too far?

Looks similar to my 4 place Bear Tracks trailer 20ft open. With two Cat M8 162's front and back, the back one hangs off ~14" of track. 153's should be under 10" off the back. Plenty of space for what you're looking for.

yikes...didnt think it would be that far...

It's really a non issue for me. Never had any issues and don't see any potential issues either unless you like to back into things...

it has the floe "patent ski clamps" with it. they are a quick clamp that you dont need to turn on to tighten (or so the seller says, im not quite sure how they work.) if this is the case, i wonder if a guy could put the ski clamps behind the spindles rather than the front.....thus moving each sled forward 9-12''..........?

Looks like a T channel design just like mine. If so you should be able to move the tie downs anywhere you want on the trailer.

I have a 20' floe and i normaly haul 2 146 and 2 154 and they hang over very minimal. Mine has the t track so i can keep em pretty tight.

If you put the clamps behind the spindle there is a lot less to prevent the sled from sliding off the front of the trailer in the event of an accident or otherwise abrupt stop.

Measure your sleds. A 153/155" sled is 11' long. Momma told me to never do public math, but I think that is around 2' longer than a 20' trailer without loading them tightly together.

I had a Floe trailer with this system. I don't know how you would save space doing this, but you could put the clamp anywhere. I wouldn't do it though.

I did find that the rears of the sleds needed some help to stay put, so I welded a nut to a plate and screwed it to the bottom of the deck and drilled a hole through. I used a third tie bar and some all thread and clamped the skidframes down with it. Worked great!

We have made at least 20 trips out west with our 20' floe... We have even had 5 on it several times. Just as long as they are straped down good it's not that big of a deal if some hangs off the back... We have had up to 3 feet sticking off the back and as long as they were straped down good they didn't go anywhere! You will be toatlly fine with 4.

Yep, have an enclosed with only a 20' box and fit 2 162's and 2 154's. It's tight, but they fit...with an open you will definatly not have a problem. My two place open has a 10' box, so they hang out about 6 inches....never been a problem. You can also slide them up into the v several inches to gain space. Thats what we do with the enclosed. No biggie
