...and the 900 still digs a mean trench!

Actually this qualifies as my deepest trench to date.:face-icon-small-win:face-icon-small-coo

Deep trench!! Have you had many problems with that sled? I absolutley loved my 900... when it ran! Too many problems and I got sick of fixing it, not to mention expensive! But when it ran, boy did it run!

In the last 3 years (and 2000 miles) that I have owned the sled it has been almost completely trouble free... not at all like I was led to believe... I have absolutely no regrets about buying it and can't say one bad thing about it... I love it!:D:D

Bought mine new in 06. It has never broke down and never had a single thing go wrong with it. Yesterday it was one of only two machines to make it to the top and reach the play area we were riding in. Going back today :face-icon-small-win

Based on my average with the 900 I would need6 pistons and 3 lower ends to get to 4k Miles.:face-icon-small-sho

Amen!

4200 miles
one complete engine
one crankshaft (lower rod)
2 cylinders
4 pairs of pistons
2 primary clutches
1 flat spotted roller
just snapped my first chain

Needless to say, you make me sick Seth:bored:

Well I can't speak the the life the machine had before I got it, but I do know that at the time I purchased the sled from the dealer in the Summer of 09, the motor had lost a Mag-side Rod bearing... As a result, the sled needed a new Crank, Mag cylinder, piston set, and also received a new stator. In addition to the work the dealer performed, I also put on a new set of intake boots and Y-pipe gaskets along with the rest of the accessories I added; gearing, intake, vents, bumper, skid plate, etc, etc The rest of the stuff has been regular maintenance and *reasonable* repairs - chaffed stator wire, left-hand warmer, speedo sensor, high-beam switch (had to replace the whole control cluster for that one), thermostat, a few recoil parts, rider select delete, motor mounts, and an oil cable... thankfully nothing major! I am by no means a model of maintenance and upkeep, but I try to treat my machine well and not beat the crap out of it and it has treated me well in return for the last 2,004 miles that I have owned it for. I only wish I could claim all of those 4,078 miles as my own:face-icon-small-sad
