What's everyone thinking about the 2017 husky fx's?
Trying to decide between the 350 and the 450 for summer woods use and snow bike in the winter...

I agree on the 450. I am putting together a 16 SXF450 KTM. I do not plan on using it other than a snowbike. The 350 sounds interesting though. I like the fact that it has a six speed trans. It is rated at 58HP but will need to be up in RPMs to work. For both dirt and snow it might be a good bike? If Snow is your focus the 450 is the choice.:face-icon-small-coo

330 sx................. :)
Someone had to say it.........
That would be a mighty fine bike, but the 450 Moto style bikes or moderate enduro crossovers like the yamaha 450fx and the ktm 450XC have proven to be awesome. This 450FX looks like its right up the same lines and should be a rocking bike. Easy to setup with conistant performance day in and day out.

I tend to think so, lighter, close ratio gear box and more track speed, that's why I've decided to go the motocross route

Although after a little research I found that the 17 husky fc450 and the fx450 have the same motor, tranny gear ratios and final drive... All the same, only difference is softer fork settings on the fx for woods use, 18 inch rear wheel and kick stand and a little larger fuel capacity

KTM has the same in the SX and the XC lineup/ same as Husky engine. however the motor on the race bike has higher compression and hot timing curve and makes more power.

That has been true in the past. Confusing that KTM list both the SXf 450 / XC 450 at 62 HP and Husqvarna list the FC450 / FX 450 at 63 HP? If the info is correct maybe not much difference?

No. SX/XCF are the exact same motor/trans. Everything is 100% identical except the rear tire, handguards, fork valving, gas tank, and kick stand.
