Anyone had any good luck with handloading this cartridge? I've got a basiclly stock abolt with a trigger job, nothing fancy.

I've gotten it better than factory by a big margin basicly just off getting the dimensions right, but still looking for a little more. I've tried a couple different powders but only Nosler Acubond 200gr bullets as they fit the bill well as far as bullet performance on impact. Basicly working up an Elk round. It's a tad expensive to load this thing and a little hard on the sholder so I would like to draw from some others' experience here.

i got the same gun[win featherweight model 70 .325 wsm, with stainless 24" barrel. and so far we loaded 200 grain, barnes tripple shock. useing 68 grains, of winchester 208 powder?i think?? [ it has the pink ring, around the bottle]. sighted in for 300 yards. was averaging 3200 fps. speed with very little drop. shot a cow elk last fall at 285 yards on the laser. and dropped her in her tracks. with 1 shot. so far thats the only load i have used, because my gun really does well with it. the recoil is a heck of alot softer, than my old 338. and i have the same ballistics as that old shoulder buster, did. heres a picture of the beast...

How's the grouping? The load I have now would do what you describe but I'm not happy with the group. 5 shot is about 2.3" @ 100yds. And I know I'm shooting better than that as all my other bolts I can consistently get better than 1" out of. Factory ammo was closer to 4.5"
