310hp apex, what track to run???

I've got an 07 MCX 310 Apex that needs a new track. It still has the stock maverick on it and I'm not a fan! I have a CR 162 tunnel and EZ RYDE skid already so I'm not into redoing it all for a 174". So here lies the question, what's the best 162X16 for this sled? Camo extreme 2.5", camo extreme 3", peaks 2.5" (I realize I'd have to switch the drivers out). I'm at a loss! I've been leaning towards the Camoplast 2.5" and just letting the track speed do its thing but I want to make sure I'm doing the right thing, and if I do this track which is the right one? I see there's 2 different part numbers on the camo extreme 2.5"?
Thanks for any input!

If it is still available the "Old Style" CE is a 2 ply track, not sure which part number it is but I have one on my Nytro and its a good track. When I built my Nypex I installed the new single ply CE. Both sleds are 162s and so far I really like the new CE, it has fewer paddles and is a fair bit lighter than the old one. I think they are discontinuing the old style so maybe all that is left is old stock. As for the Peak I can't comment but this I can say as I've had the Maverick, either on of those CE's will kill the Mav. Personally I wouldn't be scared of the new CE but you will either have to change your drivers to the M stlye from Avid or cut the small nubs off the new style track, I'm running the new drivers with 290 HP and no ratcheting like some guys were complaining about.

most people would cringe when they read that I cut my 3" down

coming from the mavrick to a 3 inch on my impulse apex with stock dia. avid drivers with the tips cut down at the little divets on the paddle to keep them from bending over like the A20 tracks is by far the best setup out there period! Out west on our sierra cement we need to have a firm lug cutting the paddles themselves down since our snow has such a high water content and being so heavy that it has more bite with the firmer straight lug.

How much did you have to cut the 3" down to make it fit? Funny thing is I was thinking the same thing!
