I heard theres a 30# update package for the XP, so much for the 50# lighter sled.... whats the real story....?

When they weighed the 430lb sled they forgot to put the plastics, the seat and whatever else they could strip before they put it on the scale. Someone on here weighed one, they are closer to 460 then 430. When you add the extra tank of fuel you have to carry to have the same amout as your buddy they are almose 480. 7lbs lighter then the next sled.

Bone stock full of gas, oil, and water my 154 X is 529 lbs. The 08 700 155 ready to ride was 600lbs. so the XP is 71lbs lighter.....that's HUGE Both sled where weighed on same scale.

Jesus Christ, the rumors just keep coming don't they.......All you haters need to get a life. The XP chasis, in it's different forms, is 55 lbs or more lighter than any other sled out there, that's just how it is.....

We might see a drive shaft update that will gain a few pounds but not 30.....

did you do a dobee before touching the keyboard??

read this with clear mind

499lbs full of fuel and oil and riding gear, hit more crap than most here and threw 170+hp to it... sled still holding up great, and driving it like i stole it:D:D

be happy, and buy one

True Story......However, the Apex boosted and weighing alot more than the XP is kicking the crap out of the mod XP pound for pound. As many of you folks know the 800cc is working real real hard in the 300 to 400 inches of snow many of us are currently riding. What's funny about my XP is the Apex feel very similar carving through the snow. Only at slow speeds does the Apex feel heavy while the XP is still effortless at slower speeds. The extra HP of a boosted sled with the current snow pack is just hard to beat imo.

Im not complaing about my XP with 180 HP and dialed to the hilt, thats just the way it is. when it comes to which sled is still kick ars and taking numbers in the steep & deep.

There might be little truth here...my 84 Yam Phazer was 395# and my 95 was 437...yes, stronger and "better". One reason I sno checked an XP was that they could only get heavier from here. Goose

True as well OT, but throw an aspriation helper on the XP and you might change your mind. I know the ol' fact that 4 stroke turbos are more reliable and easier to tune but you're comparing apples to oranges... I know a turbo Apex kicks azz, at the least the ones I rode have, But most days I'd rather have my lightweight XP....
Good to see you back on here by the way.

Yep, I've got a unit with a turbo Cummins, Allison automatic and a 14' blade that will kick any apex in the deep, and I can build a bigger one if need be, 600 real hp and 0ver 2100 ft./lb/ of torque, but I can't get it unstuck by myself either.........so I guess I will keep riding my poor lightweight xp.......just what I like. Everyone else can ride what they like.....
