300 mile report + bumper failure

So I'm up to 309 miles. Still no broken shaft or stripped cogs off the drive belt

Everything drive wise is still bang on. There are some negatives

Hit a rock, went straight vertical and landed on the rear bumper. Broke the aluminum side mount and the carbon fiber bar, pics to come when I get home and at my pc. Here's the description. No damage to the sled aside from the bumper. Scuff mark on the skid plate. Nothing else.

I've now broke 3 of these style bumpers. 2 on my assault 1 on the pro. So now I'm looking at bumper options

not stirring the pot, but wasnt there an article in snowest about the 2010-11 M8 bumpers basically bolting on? maybe a cheaper alternative.

New holes need to be drilled to make it work, but it is a cheap replacement about $70.00.

Right now I'm looking at options that include tunnel support. I carry decent amounts of fuel and put the majority if my miles on in the flatland. A little extra weight is worth it in my mind.

I've looked at AK's rear. Having difficulty finding anything else tho

That's not a bumper failure. You broke it.

Quite true. At any rate it's getting replaced with something of value. FYI if the over structure is made up of the same carbon fibre it will not take much of an impact. Can anyone confirm if the make up of the over structure is the same as the bumper?

I installed a 162 cat bumper today, awesome fix, weighs nothin, simple install..

X2... I've put 3 of the cat bumpers on my polaris's and they really work well to stiffen up the tunnel too. That's the main reason I put the cat bumper on. Just drill holes and rivet er on. 20 min job...

how bad would the tunnel be tore up if you would have had a beefer rear bumper?

Vanamburgs new rear bumper goes all the way to the front suspension mount. (Suspension bolt does not go throught it, plate just goes up to it.) Very stout.
