3" track

Any news on the camoplast extreme 163x16x3"

or the 174x16x3" that the Tracks USA owner speculated on?

He said the track, which is currently in the testing phase, would be for sale in Nov or Dec 08.

RG Marine built a 3" track back in 96? for a guy in Castlegar BC. Was plastic paddles but still, pretty gnarly looking track. Was on a T-cat at the time, I think it was a "long track" 144 (which was insanely long for the time).

Doc zoom is running a 3" on the ultimate apex. He's got connections though so it might be a while, maby never that most people will have access to one.

I remember that! That was Randy B's sled. I think it was a 1994 triple, triple with the black majic stingers. LOUD!!!

Paddles didn't last to long. Broke and flew off at speed. Track and hardware must have weighed over 100 pounds!!!

We are building an extended chaincase for the XP and are going to run 174"X16"X3" on it. You can run 3" tracks using our Polaris and Yamaha cases. Camoplast should have a part number and price by Friday. They were making them last week.

Post pics when you get some installed, To install in an M-sled it would need smaller drivers, do you have 7 tooth drivers to fit Diamond drive?

I still think a 136’’ with a 3’’ paddle, 350 lbs, & about 180 hp would be one of the funnest sleds in the world to ride

You should have at least .75" around everything with a 2.5" track for the 3" to fit. I don't know how much room you have with a 2.5" track.

3" Track

I am curious if it will fit under the newer M-series. I checked my clearance, I had 1.25" between the stock 2.25" track and the front cooler. That looked like the closest place. There is one other tight spot where the upper cooling comes through the tunnel, but it looked like it had more room than the front cooler.

Does anyone know if it will fit? I have been looking to get one as soon as I heard they might be releasing them this year.

3" tracks

Camoplast has actually released the tracks for sale to the public.

I think there is a 162 and 174 being sold now.

Does anyone have pics of their drop and roll on an xp?

Has anyone already built their own extended chaincase?

Thinking of doing this mod but would like some imput from guys who already have their machines up and running.

Any advise?

I just talked to Bruce at TacksUsa and he's getting shippments next week
16 wide only
162X16X3 = $895
174X16X3 = $1095
That takes me out of the picture for the M chassis.
