3 post vs. 4 post alignment issues

So i bought a 4 post to add to my 09 M1000 turbo sled and for some reason the 4 post sits in towards the motor 1/8 more causing alignment issues.. I have already cut the back of the secondary so i could get the 3 post to meet the 1.507 specs... There is a 60 thou shim in the back of the clutch and I cant go any further because the helix bolts are hitting the diamond drive. I want to counter sink the helix bolts to clear the diamond drive but need a special tool to make the bolt mating suface flat.. So if the motor has to come out atleast 3/16, i will have issues with my lower mag plug hitting the steering post, and my front pto head bolt hitting the bulkhead.. The bulk head can be worked a bit, but the spark plug is already just touching the steering post..

So has anyone had to add that much shims 3/16 to proper alignment with a 4 post?
Why is the 4 post taper deeper than the 3 post?
Are there shorter plugs i can buy for the steering post issue?

Thanks

Take off the torque plate and add 1/8 in shims behind the plate on the studs and do the same shim behind the recoil. just simply loosen the front right one and move it it over. I have done this for the same reason. Mine had moore room so your motor mounts might be saging. Good luck
