3" pitch track on a viper

Has anybody put a 3" pitch track on a viper. Looking at getting an attack 20 with 7 tooth anti-slip drivers. Will the track fit with the smaller drivers as it is 2.25 inch lugs? Do i have to trim the tips of the rails? Thanks

Even with 7's that attack 20 clearance will be tight. I have done it on a MM "Same chaincase" using whal 7's and trimmed .25" off the A20 to get enough clearance. It was still pretty tight cleaance and did not work that great. If you were to use Avid 7's you will get more cleance due to the way the drivers are made. You will not have to trim your rail tips for the anti-slip drivers.
Really, I would stick with a 2.52 pitch track with 2" lugs and run 8 tooth drivers. If you want 3 pitch and deep lugs than you should really consider a drop and roll or extended chaincase.

thanks for the reply. I was thinking it would be tight even with 7 tooths. Ive done alot of drop and rolls when i worked at fabcraft but they were all on cats, doos and polaris. I might have to do a custom drop n roll for the viper. Or just stick with the 2.52 pitch and 2' lugs. Did you trim the rail tips with the 8 tooth anti ratchets on your mm? I did put antislips on one before but cant remember.
