3" paddle track?

A local kid (with lots of money) was spouting off the other day about how good his buddy's (also with lots of money) apex that has hooking up. He said it had a 3" deep paddle track on it. Is there such a thing? I have heard of a 2 1/2" but not a 3" paddles. I questioned it and he goes off on how it is 3" tall paddles.

My thoughts are that he heard 3 pitch and thought 3" paddles. But I could be wrong.

So my question is does a 3" deep paddle track exist?

I did see a turbed Apex in Salmon arm with a 16x174x3
But they wouldn't let us test ride it.LOL
