3.5" riser

I was wondering if stock cables will work with a 3.5" or even 3 inch risor.

Right now i have a 2 inch homemade one and i was hoping it would be possible to put in another one..

Will 3.5 inch rise be to much for the steering post? I don't want to bend or break it.

The sled is an 01 polaris rmk 700

I just put a 3" on my 01 700 and the cables are ok but the brake line wouldn't reach so that is all I had to extend. But I don't think your cables will work with a 3.5". On the bending or breaking I'm thinkin of putting a steel bar down the tube to make it stronger. Hope that helps with what you were wondering about.

I wouldnt worry TOO much about your steering post being bent with a 3.5". I've got an 8" riser on my ProX and i've dumped her over lightly in softer stuff a couple times with no noticable bending, but it is a reinforced steering post. Still, I dont think a 3.5 is gonna be a big cause for worry.
