My brother bought a Arctic Cat track at hay Days this week end. Any good recomendations on how he can adapt 3.0 drivers on the stock
Edge driveshaft?

Which track??

If it is the Power Claw...you will need the new style Avid drivers.... look in the IQ section for the thread on them.

Avid will make this new style for the hex shaft as well.

I already purchased my 7T avid drivers for my power claw track swap but they are the old style. Should I try returning them for the new style or just cut the nubs off and run it ?

Return them.... get the new style...

Read the write up in the IQ section on "new avid drivers"

More info there than you probably want to know.

Yes the others will work.. the new ones will work better and more smoothly.

Thanks for the info Mountainhorse. I just talked to my dealer and he said I can't return them because they were special order. I guess I'll run the old style and cut the the nubs on the track and hope fully it works fine.

Do the 7 tooth 3.0 pitch drivers really vibrate that much compared to the 8 or 9 tooth? Also I got my drivers pressed on the other day and the timming seems to be a little off. Is this going to give me any problems?

After installing my 7 tooth extroverts and 162 PC track I noticed that the clips that are on the track are not on the same window openings. So one extrovert tooth is driving off the clipped side of the track the other has a 1/4" gap from the tooth to the track and so on and so fourth as it rotates. Is this normal for a PC track or should i be moving the clips so they line up?

No dont move them you cant take them off and reuse them , you can fully clip the track if you want but its around $2 a clip plus the cost of the tool. But that is how the powerclaw tracks come they alternate. your track should be driven off the nub of the track not really the windows anyways. Also I have noiticed when I first installed my drivers that just turning the drivers by hand it seemed like the timing was off but when the drivers are under there own power they are fine. What brand of drivers are you using?

I bought the Avid drivers. Thats seems weird to me that the clips would alternate. I thought that the point of extroverts was to drive off the clips at the same time?
