2X 09 Assault, One runs hotter than the other?

Hey folks, I have two Assaults, one for the wife, both have about 1200 miles, Got the update to 2010 specs.

Even before the update, hers would warm up much quicker than mine.

I can't tell if mine is slow, or hers is fast.

From the trailer hers will start to read temp and contiue climbing in steps of 2-3*.

Mine heats up and indicates in 1* increnments, sometimes staying on a number, or even falling back lower before rising again.

Is this mechanical, or just a bad temp gauge.

Any thoughts? I have none.

Weel, thats the two options I was leaning towards, I just was looking for a direction, I don't want to duplicate my troubleshooting efforts, so I want to know which machine to extend my efforts towards.

You could try swapping sensors to see if that any effect on the readings. If not then it could be the thermostat.

Is she way lighter than you?

Neither unit has scratchers?

RMK's cool like crap on the trail at trail speeds (under 45), even worse for someone who doesn't produce mch ride-in (sag).

If she doesn't spin the track and keeps a nice steady throttle, little to no snow get thrown on the coolers.

If what you're describing is happening at idle, then you need to verify both stats have the big hole in the plate. If hers has the small hole, it will heat up faster.
