2Moto Snow Session!!

This is the 2Moto kit for dirt bikes and when I saw this a few years ago I to wondered if it would work. On Wednesday Jon brought it out and unfortunately what we thought would be an epic deep day turned out to be about 20 cms on hard pack. No quite enough to for the sledding we like to do so I hopped on this thing and I must say it put a huge smile on my face.

The bike is the new fuel injected 450 and it was awesome! Easy to start, no bog and ran wicked. The kit comes with ski, rear track and mount with shock and is specific to each different bike. It is way easier than riding a dirt bike and the balance is great. You can hit anything. The draw back was I would like to see the see out front a little bit or a wider one and in really deep stuff you would be stuck a lot. However you could go in some cool areas with this thing and not sure if I mentioned this but oh my god it’s FUN!!!

No this would definitely not replace my xp however I ride for deep powder snow and if it is not deep I ski off the machine. I like to carve all day so if it is 15-20 on hard pack i am board..not a hill climber.

This thing in my opinion has a better balance than a dirt bike and easier to roop through open areas and get into tight places. I moto on tight gnarly trails with rocks, roots, steep hills etc and in my opinion this is way easier and would provide tons of fun for guys who don't get a ton of snow or in a low snow year and you don't need to go to a full on sledding area you can go where you would not on your sled cause a smaller area is fine with tight trees etc.

off road rider-great vid! This was my first time riding one and if i needed another toy i would get one for sure...I would also like to try the snowhawk one day as well looks like a ton of fun too. Awesome how many cool things are out there to try...keep rippin everyone!!!

I'd love to do this to my bike, but it is only a 250 fourstroke (CRF 250R). Does anyone know if that is enough motor for this conversion?

I ride a yzf 250 and there is no way I would put it through that type of abuse. I find the 450 too much power in the tight trails but on the snow it was like riding my 250...

A 250 would be toast quickly if ridden in any powder..
It looks like Norona had perfect condition for trying out the snowbike..
The Hawks are cool, but in a completely different class and what I would say used for different areas/conditions.

Yep Brohm Ridge and did not feel like I was changing gears all the time. But I was pinning that 450 pretty good a lot...so yeah 250 would not cut it...Jon Mutiger said the KTM 505 would rock too...you want a powerful short stroke motor...so far March has been epic, bring it on..

I agree. My 450 works in deep snow(especially wet deep snow!). I see the 2moto guys have a GasGas 300 with a kit. One guy on the 2moto forum was putting a kit on a new KTM 300. He said his 300 would beat his 450 in anything but sand. I think that shows that the 450's torque is where the diff is. I just can't imagine anything less than a 450 getting around very well in any thing more than a foot of snow. Just my opinion. Haven't seen a smaller bike with a kit on the snow.

I wouldn't put it on a 250. Got it on my yz450 would not want less power, it would take the funout of the kit.
