There was a massive slide on the shuksan arm a couple of days ago. Crown depth was 15 ft. All this snow is falling on some now very deep instabilities. A lot of 1-2 foot instability has been reported, but deeper weak layers in the 15-20 foot range are still present at the higher elevations at Baker. These size of a release on one of these layers would be unsurvivable. Be careful if you are going to try and catch the vis the next couple of days. Baker's forecast is here:
