24 9R

Finally able to ride the new 24 9r . 0 Miles on sled. Pulled sled off deck and fouled PTO side plug. Replaced ran fine all day. Pulled sled off deck when I got home and fouled another plug. Changed that and ran fine through the day. Noticed a back fire here an again. Just break in stuff of something I need to be alarmed with?

Im not sure what plugs you guys use but in sweden our 24s came with bpr9es and got replaced with bpr8es whit great succses, Before polaris going switched to a warmer plug i ran bpr9eya with out issues also.. But what ever plug you ride it gets better when you are out of break in :-)

They definitely run rich in break in mode but startup/warm up sequence is huge in my opinion. Don't let it sit and idle too long, if it gets close to 90 take it for a ride very nice and easy watch the temp and you will see the temp drop when the thermostat opens up then just keep riding around nice and easy for a bit yet then after a minute or so good to go. One thing I've learned over the years with these models is don't let idle too long and also don't let it idle till it gets warm then shut off for bit while you get suited up or what not and then start back up, recipe for disaster there. I always take for a little road ride around for say 3-4 minutes then I'll come back and shut off and finish with my gear and tunnels bag etc. Also bpr8es plugs help as well.

I always let my 24' warm up to 60 before moving it. When getting ready to ride, I'll let it warm up to 90/100 and shut it off till ready to head out. I have about 500 miles now on my sled, I have had good luck with this method. Did change plugs at start of this season at about 350 miles, plugs defiantly needed replaced. Once in a blue moon mine will back fire at first start up when warm. Almost positive my previous 850 also back fired once in a blue moon too.

@HCRRider keep us posted how things go.

And I believe the 25s came with the bpr8es plugs. When I replaced my plugs at the start of the season this year. This is what the dealer gave me. May want to confirm with your dealer if you should switch plugs.
