22/47 gearing on 08 summit

will 22 /47 gears work with a 104 pitch chain ?

Why do you think you can pull those gears? Pretty much everyone is running 19/20:49

that is gearing down 2 teeth on what the sled came With 23/45 what would you reccomed for elevation on a 146 summit + in the flatland boondocking 1200 feet

I'm not aware of a 47 tooth gear that fits the xp spline. If you have a 45/23 now, I would try a 22 top with the 104 chain or a 21 top with a 102 chain.

I'm not aware of a 47 tooth gear that fits the xp spline. If you have a 45/23 now, I would try a 22 top with the 104 chain or a 21 top with a 102 chain.
Here's a quick chart

a 22/47 is almost identical to a 21 /45 but will not have as sharp as bends in the chain , which is a plus and i will not have to buy a chain then

I learned something new today!!! I wouldn't trust the 51T in the stock chain case, the 49 is real close. As far as a 47/22 you should be ok with the stock 104 chain.

I havent seen anyone running a 51 tooth bottom. The sharp turn you are talking about with the smaller top gear doesnt matter as much as you would think. I have run the 19/45 combo with no problems. jmo
