On Sunday, the next day, we parked at the main bridge at the bottom, which turn out to be unnecessary. It was a mistake to park down low. It was mostly all snow on the way in. But there were a few extended sections of gravel on the big stretch alone the lower copper snotel section, before Snowbank Lake.
On the way out, everyone stopped at Snow Bank and two of us rode out to get vehicles. We drove back vehicles in to the snowbank outhouse turn around to load. There is even a Yukon Denali with city tires that towed a 4-place enclosed trailer to snowbank. It got a little hairy a couple times in the late afternoon slush, but he made it.
There was open dirt past snowbank, but we mostly stayed on snow the whole way. One would need to be prepared to drive past snowbank from here on out.
The conditions up high were great!!!
I think these photos are posting in reverse order that I took them. You can see how much snow is at the bottom bridge in the morning. But when we came out at 5:00, there was nothing left right there.
