Haven't had much time to do any research. Coming off 2020 Expert and back to Polaris (had to give it a shot). I can get a pretty good deal on a New 2020 Pro RMK Snow Check right now, (PIDD, Clickers, 163 2.6) $12,000 delivered to my house. Or is the QD2, series 8 2.75 track and not sure what other differences? Is it worth the extra 3-4K?
THANKS

Personally warranty time period would be the big change for me.

the 20's are awesome and if you wanted you could easily do a track/driver change and gear down kit for well under 3-4k and have a serisouly rocking sled. Also given how good takeoff parts sell I'd say youd be into the build less then 1k in extras to have an awesome unit.

I can't see the track being that much different and as far as the QD2, just do a kurt's gear down or TKI kit for $700 and you'll be in the same ball park. I'd go for the 2020!

I just bought pro ride gears to gear down my axys. $150 shipped. use your stock belt, won't be geared quite as low as QD2, but still an improvement over the stock axys.

Anyone know if you are going to be able to re calibrate the speedo in DW on a QD1 for the QD2 gearing?

Likely not be able to calibrate the speedo unless your dealer can program it as a chain drive sled then it is an option. Also you could get the 2020.5 flash at the same time which I expect will be the flash in the 2021 sleds.

I thought the speedo sensor is on the driver shaft so gearing wouldn’t affect the speedo, only different drivers? But I don’t know.

Nope, calculated off the jackshaft.

I'D assuming going forward their will be a flash option for pretty much most gear options since the 2021 850 will be offered in 4 different belt drive configs ( 3 final drive ratios), the ECU can be calibrated for each.

for 2021 there is
QD1 2.86P 7T driver

QD2 2.86P 7T driver

QD2 3P 7T Driver ---------\
> These have the same final drive ratio as the drivers are the same size.
QD2 3.5P 6T driver--------/

So if I converted my 2020 khaos 850 to a QD2 I would need the dealer to flash the 2nd one on your list? Or how would you recalculate your speedo?

I am not 100% sure if the dealer can over-ride the model in the Digital Wrench software to claim your sled is a chaindrive model but if they can then they would have the option of changing the gearing in the software. If you go that far as to get it hooked up to the computer you might as well ask for the latest flash anyway is it runs a bit cleaner.

yakima, wa.
who cares about the speedo anyway?
Its the most accurate performance indicator. (It is also my fuel gauge. I need to know how many miles i have left before i run out to determine which way i return to the truck)
Modifications will increase or decrease speed. If ur speedo is inaccurate, u cannot compare the performance to other vehicles.
