2018 Polaris Axys low idle rpm and won’t stay running while cold

Hello I have a 2018 Axys 800 and noticed it isles at around 1450-1550 and when it is cold out after being on the deck traveling it won’t stay idling unless I give it some throttle until it warms up. I also have a 2016 Axys that has never had this issue and seems to idle at 1900-2000 when I checked? I checked the slack in the throttle and that doesn’t seem to make a difference at all I also checked the belt deflection on the secondary which was also good. Any one have a reason why and how to fix it?

Sounds alot like a TPS problem

I had similar issues, it was my throttle safety switch. The dealer somehow disabled it to determine it was the issue.

Unfortunately it’s not adjustable on the 2018+ 800ho.

My brother has the same low idle on his.
(My 2016 idles strong)

2018 is adjustable but 2019 is not. Sometimes it can be adjusted back into range and sometimes it won’t hold. Adjust it and see what happens. If it doesn’t hold and you still have warranty take it to the dealer.
