Read the article and as expected Cat got the nod. Skidoo best deep snow sled and only thing the Polaris got was Crossover Sled with the 146 SKS. Fid it odd that 4-5 guys get to ride the sled for a few days and name the Cat Mtn sled of yr?? Seems to me like everytime a manufacturer changes the skid, that particular sled is named the winner. Cat "skinnies" up the sled and shaves 15 lbs off and all of a sudden sled of the year? I like Cat and think they are headed in right direction, but going from the cellar last year to the top this year? And Polaris not even getting a mention? Wow.

^^ Agree with that. Most improved for sure.
Just look at the sleds Polaris is selling. Look at who Boondocker, Burandt's BackCountry, Sahen and all the other big sled entities are riding. That's not why I ride a Polaris at all, but it's obvious they agree with me. Either way, I don't care, I pick my own sled on my terms.
More like it's obvious who pays them the most....

SOTY is all marketing BS, for both the mag and OEM. And both the mags and OEM's know it, but keep doing it, cause it sells sleds and mags.
Sure, dogs won't win. But now it's just glitter. Any of the Burandt'ers could ride any of the sleds stock better than most of us would ride a SOTY, stock or mod. And most of them run mod sleds most of the time.
