Hi,

What is your recommendation on top end replacement?

Sled has about
2200 miles
166hrs.

I keep hearing that reeds are an issue on these sleds.

OEM pistons and reeds for replacement or after market?

the factory reeds on the ctec2 are half the price of the zuki but you need 8 peddles as you have a W style over a V. I would stay OEM.

Currently doing a top end on a 19 and it indeed had some chipped reeds. The outer reed pedals from cat are available and only like $15, however the inners were not available. Only way to get OEM inners was to buy the reed assembly for around $70, and there is 4 of them. To replace them all it was actually a little bit cheaper to go with vforce reeds, so that's what I did. They at least have easily replaceable pedals (for $50 total), and are essential the same design as OEM.

Mine is at just under 2,000 miles, and I'm glad I did it because it had a damaged piston & cylinder too. But it is turbo'd.
