2016 Yamaha YZ450FX or YZ450F?

Im looking at upgrading my bike. currently I have a 2014 YZ450F.
I can not decide between the 2016 Yamaha YZ450FX or the YZ450F.
The bigger stator on the FX to run a light and heated grips at the same time is something i would really like and the electric start would be nice but not a must.
Would like to know what people think of the power between FX compared to the F?
preferences between the 2 transmissions?
I think the power and the extra weight could be a deal breaker?
I know the fork springs and the left foot peg needs to be changed on the FX, any other weird things?
I can buy either bike for the same price so its a tough choice.
Any input would be great
Thanks

I loved the FX for the 2016 season, but they leave a little on the table compared to the F. They are a little soft on the mid range hit compared to the F. I am working now on getting the rotating mass on the crank shaft lighter to bring back the hard hitting snap I always enjoyed with the F. The F stator is large enough to run either AME heated grips or a Cyclopes 310 light. Just not both at the same time. The trans of the FX is a perfect match for me at 9-14K elevation. No problem there. I enjoy the always there easy button of the FX, even down to -10. Stay tuned to the Super Hero builds for 2017 to see how our hot rod FX build turns out. Have you tried switching g to the gytr cams... One of the guys I ride with did this and man it livened it up... But he is in the same boat with the stator wanting it lightened up... Even for wheel riding...

- the fx gives up some snap, I might machine some weight off flywheel as no one carries a lightweight version for the fx, the heavy flywheel is nice though when chugging down through real tight trees
- i put a h/c psiton in my fx and had the head ported it gave me abit more punch and mid range
- i barely notice the weight difference riding compared to my F
- the E button is pretty much a must have for me especially when your in those stupid spots and you cant get at kicker
- the tall 5th is awesome for the longer trail rides my bike isnt screaming to the moon and not moving
- 2nd gear is great for most tree riding 3rd can be hard to pull on some inclines etc i didnt play with gearing last season on my Ts but this year be on the yeti so gear changes be quick an easy :)
just picked her up yesterday looking forward to see how my bike pulls with the yeti behind her

One of the guys I ride with put the gytr cams and adjusted the fueling so the electric start would work... But that will give a lot of the snap back of the yz450... He is trying to do the same to the flywheel though

so I ended up going with a new 2016 F, just picked it up a couple days back.
The wide ratio trans is not as good as the moto trans from people i have talked to.
Engine mods for an FX was out of my price range plus doing the forks
Thanks for the input
Time to get it built

?

What other differences really are there, besides, flywheel, stator and gearing??? Can't you remap the FX with the F map?
