Not sure if this has been brought up before. Currently have a '16 Axys 155 2.6 and looking at new '18's in the same config. Is there many differences between the years? I know of the thermostat and have heard shock valving as well? Anything else?

Other than cooling I get the feeling that midrange is a bit stronger, my 16 always needed 2 pulls to start and my 18 just one

I'd make the switch if I knew the high elevation fuel mapping was better than my 16. Over 11K my sled is awful , way to rich.

I just updated my '17 to a new '18. The '18 pulls 2 grams more weight than my '17 and holds RPM at 10,000 much better than my '17. I'm able to run 10-64's at 10,000 pulling 8,150 R's. I haven't had a chance to test in warm air yet, that's where my '17 would fall on it's face. Very happy so far, you can probably get into an '18 for less than $10,000. I don't know if they changed the mapping but overall I'm very happy so far. May just be getting a leaner burn on account of the 95 degree jacket temp.

The better cooling alone to me seems worth it. Better running motor is a good bonus. Currently have a sidekick on my '16 and while it's a pile of fun I miss the bottom end of the stocker.
