2016 Valve Relearn Failure

So 2016 SKS 800 with Silber Turbo. End of last season it threw a code for the exhaust valve system. We ordered a new actuator and installed, brought it to the dealer to have the relearn procedure done. The relearn procedure failed, anyone have any ideas on why this might happen?

Have the valves been out? Have you had them apart? There is a tool and procedure to keep them aligned during service. If they aren’t aligned proper the relearn will fail.
To test, Unhook the cable from the actuator and see if they move freely by pulling on the cable.

We have had them out for cleaning but didn't take them apart for that reason. Turns out the dealer then tried to re sync the valves themselves and then ran the relearn again. Problem seems to be solved, rode it a little last night and its rowdy. Thanks!!

So we thought everything worked out, got the machine home and went for a real ride to find out we still got the exhaust valve code. So we wiggled some wires and it went out. Brought it home into the garage to check things out. Found a wire that had worn through the protective coating and must have been shorting out on the clutch cover. We repaired wire, hopefully this will be the fix to the issue.

Hopefully that is it. I had an Axys that failed to re-learn. The cylinders were re-nic'd and some of the nikasil made it into the exhaust port. Wasn't enough to fail the push-pull test, but it was enough resistance to fail the relearn procedure.
