2016 TS convex track on 2015 TS without drop brackets?

I have a 2015 Timbersled LT and a just bought a 2016 convex track. I started to put it on and it looks like you could just put smaller bogey wheels on instead of using the drop brackets to allow for the bigger track?

The current bogey wheels are 5.5" in diameter. I remember reading something about the 2016 kits using smaller bogey wheels, or it looks like WPS might have something that could work.

Anyone deal with this yet?

you would need a 4.5" bogey. that's getting kinda small. would that offer enough clearance of the skid?

With smaller bogie wheels on the older kits, I think that the track will rub on the upper part of the rear suspension arm and shock mount.

Whale, I'm gunna give it a try. Its possible it rubs on the upper shock mount, but the Idler wheels I found on WPS have a 4.33" OD and the same ID as the originals. I ordered the wheels and once they get delivered i'll try and fit them up and let everyone know it if twerks.

i have a 15 ST Kit, and will likely upgrade to the new track as well - but know nothing really about snow mobiles/these wheels you are talking, etc... :)

but i'm curious why go w/ the smaller wheels and risk issues vs. just using the brackets?

Are there concerns w/ the brackets? Or is it safer to use smaller wheels?

Just wondering so when I do upgrade I can make best choice of route to go!

Thx

Is the 16 kit the same as the 15? IMO TS kind shot themselves in the foot when they went to the integral fuel tank as its tough to run a cooler and by running the track so close to tunnel makes it tough to run a bigger track. Who's to say 2.5 is the upper limit on paddle size.
