2016 team clutch

So how does one get his hands on some lighter weights for this clutch? I would pay to overnight a set for my 10,000-13,000 ft demo ride this weekend. Might be a waste of time with too heavy of weights...

After riding the new 2016 M8, had to pull it apart to see the Team clutches. After 40 miles of riding it was still only pulling 7450 rpm on a hard pack hill at 9500 feet.
Clutch came off and apart just like the cat clutch. The spring and weights are different.
Clutches weigh exactly the same, 12.4lbs. With the addition of the steel spider in the Team clutch I was hoping they would still weigh the same. The steel ring is still on the back.

When you replaced the weights in the Team, did you reverse the clutch bolts to match the past AC clutch?

so is it worth buying the team of go with a 911 cover on my 14 ? was thinking real hard about buying the secondary but not sure about primary

I would do a 14 clutch with the 911. My friend runs the 911 and it shifts so much better than stock, the bearing/bushing surface area are huge compared to stock, and that cover will keep the towers from spreading under heavy loads.

Run the team. Better roller design, no junk o-rings on the pins, and a steel spider. Should definitely last longer than 2000 miles like the previous drive clutch.

Just put my first ride in on my 16 m8ltd. Awesome!! Clutching was smooth and power was spot on. Then things got interesting. Noisy. A rotating kinda scraping noise. Seemed like it was at low speed but not sure if i just couldnt hear it under throttle. Not very educated ar all about clutching.. Any ideas? I will try to post a little vid where you can hear the noise. Thanks

Just looking at the pics, it looks like a piece of banding strap heat treated to a C43 hardness. If a bolt grade 5 or more riding on it would eat into that surface. What they need is a roller bearing at the end of the bolt that is grinding into the surface, or it will it imbed a groove due to the small surface area contact? Needs a tripod contact area, but would be a bummer to adjust equally? If you moved the sheave 180 deg. will the sound go to nill like the 1st 10 mi? Either they need to add a nylon rub block that is to the outer edge of the rub plate, or just back off and forget about it? Or will the belt deflection be too far out on the secondary? Either way it is just what I expected with a name like "BOSS", cheaply made just looking at it! Is the sheave shaft bushing worn opposite of the deflector bolt? I would guess kinda sloppy in the opposite direction?
Really hope I am wrong!
