2016 axys RMK... beginning to see some details.

i bet it will be something like this........but rear armature modified to work inside the tunnel. i show it outside for an example

No way.
I don't see any way to get a sled close to 400lbs with that rear suspension.
That's what makes the Axis trail sled way heavier than the RMK.
My thoughts

yah good call, im just playing of the blurry pic with what looks like no rear shock in the skid.

Look at the peeps on this thread and how fast posts are getting made. Poo is watching this thread like a pirate watches ****, too. If you have a message to poo, and want consensus, this is your chance - they'll see it.

OK.

Poo, keep the present model too (it's not that bad lol) for a few years. Call it and IndyRMK if you want just leave some big differences in price levels for a new buyer.

That way the dealers don't have to be so scared to take a old, heavy lol, Pro trade on a new Axys RMK.

That is a great idea....even just one model. Would be a really great "entry level" mountain sled with a good price point. Still a great sled regardless of what comes out, so that would make total sense!

I think your idea is plausible. The Axys trail sled lost a bunch of weight over the rush, so it's possible they dropped a few off the rmk even with that suspension. In the video it looks like there's a piece of plastic under the seat, could be a cover for the suspension

The mountain segment would then be split up differentiated like the short track trail sleds are. Where does that leave the Switchback? Does it sell like the current RMKs?
Would the Switch be obsolete?

no idea, seems like people think the 136 is WAY too long, even 129! they are crazy and miss informed and never had any real seat time, a 136 other than top speed it hands down better than a 121. bridges bumps, better traction, and so on

those guys in the easts trails have so many damn trail rules and regulations why you would need anything other than a 600 blows my mind.

My inside guy say release is this Friday!

He's not giving out much, here's the subject line from an email I got from Polaris, "An all new king takes its throne on 1.30.15"

And from Polaris' website, "http://www.polaris.com/en-us/snowmobiles/2016-axys" look at the bottom of the page.

I don't know about the rest of you but I've only gotten 150 miles in so far this year. An early release would be great! that would be a whole lot better than wandering out to my shop and staring at my sled and wishing for snow. It was 58 (13 c for you Ca guys) here yesterday! ( Normally we are at or near zero right now) Man this winter stinks! Glad to see Poo giving us something to be excited about!

Polaris is getting exactly they wanted by reading all these post- Positive feedback and spreading the word....

600 miles on the new Pro here in Wyoming -- we must have most of the snow when looking around the parking lot... see mega out of staters that we generally don't ever see..:face-icon-small-con

Are you talking the Switchback Assault or the Rush type Switchback? It might just be my group of friends but I see way more Switchback Assaults out riding then I do the Rush Switchback versions. I would rather see then drop the Switchback Assault and take a note from Doo and offer the RMK Assault in a 144/146 version. But wither way I'll stick to the 155/154 length myself. Kind of a perfect all around length to ride all over the country IMO.

That's an interesting idea.

Change the Switchback Assault to just the Assault RMK.
Label and market it as the Assault, with a 155 or 144/46 option. Mountain or competition track choices.

Bulkhead cooler.

Then the Midwest guys don't have to run their Pro RMK on the trails over there and worry about their water temps and they still have an "RMK" when they come out west.
