2016 Axys only hitting 7500RPMS?

Question for all you Polaris guys... First year on an AXYS (previously had 13 Summit XM). I was riding in 2'+ of light fluffy Utah snow yesterday after about an hour of riding the sled was having a very hard time getting over 7500rpms... I tried to keep snow off the hood as much has possible but in 2' of snow kind of impossible. Ate lunch, sled obviously sled cooled down a little bit and was back up to hitting 8k+ rpms. but again after riding for a bit started to to lose rpms... sled has SLP stage 2 kit. Any info would be helpful. My Doo never had this problem and I was riding with two 850's yesterday and they were not having a problem at all.

How many miles and what weights/spring do you have in there now? You'll want a good 8300 RPM's.

Without any information, I'm guessing that once the SLP stuff went on, the weights were not added. Lighter primary weights will probably fix the issue.

Did you reclutch for SLP kit? Are you hitting soft limiter?
