I have a 16 Axys 800 and have some small rpm problems. Just checked compression and got 108-110 mag and 115 Pto at 2000 ft elevation. What should I see for compression numbers? Sled has 900 miles.

I think you should be worried more about the difference in pto and mag. Compression testers seem to very quite a bit so what you are looking for is difference between the each cylinder. For instance 87 octane usually has a compression of 120lbs at sea level. Looks like you have an 6% difference might want to check with a tech to see if that is an issue.

Ride sled Saturday, then checked compression Sunday it said 108 mag and 105 pto. Talked with my dealer and he said bring it in.

Just for conformation I bought a new compression Guage, now with the new guage I got 122 pto and 125 mag. Looks like the old guage is fubared. I still think I will bring it in to check the tps is correct, and got new springs coming for the clutches.

A friend just tested his 2016 with 4500km, 110psi per side, this is at sealevel.

Sled has run flawlesd since day one, he said it is the first 800 polaris engine that has lasted this long, and he has had many of them. Normally they have had some kind of catastrophic failure at around 3000km.

Always need to know elevation your testing at and engine temp also comes into play. Also there's 3% per 1000' loss from sea level up. so comparing compression with different gages in different shops very hard.

Altitude does make a difference....
