This bike is specifically built to win Big Dog. The turbo location dictates the style of rear suspension that can be coupled to the rear of this beast. Since CMX currently is the leader in rear skid performance over anything else I have ridden, and the fact it does not use a third shock, it was a shoe in for the job. I wanted to keep it useable and reliable so more boost was not on the table, power transfer meant a lot. The use use of the CMXBK belt drive system and a DID non-o-ring chain were two things that I wanted to make the power transfer more efficient. Track tension is very important in getting this 110hp. to the snow. I chose anti ratchet drivers to ensure that there is no power loss when the clutch is dropped at 8500 RPM on the starting line. I needed a track that would bite hard on packed snow and dig in the powder so I chose the harder Camoplast Convex 2.5 track.
The Yeti MX front end is lighter by almost 2lbs then the other single ski front ends and delivers top ranking performance in all conditions.
We built this bike to be ridden hard and put up wet for years to come. It will only look this pretty once. Enjoy the pics, and we will enjoy the ride.
