>>>>> 2015 Yamaha Mountain Sleds: VIDEO and PHOTOS, (JUST RELEASED)

Just glad cat is in bed with Yammi and now Polaris is showing signs in Suzuki as a partner for engines!!!!

Arctic Cat and Suzuki signed an engine agreement in March that will allow Arctic Cat to have access to Suzuki engines from now and into the future. They also have Yamaha as a strong engine supplier.

Sweet looking rides! Nice to see they haven't given up on the mountain segment, even though sales are down. I hope Randy will have a couple at Yamafest this year to try out. I'll be there!

New thread needed for the majority of us that don't pay snowest to give our thoughts... Wake up sw..

Yammys four stroke biggest issue has been weight, why would they not have pictures on its weight loss over the nitro

How many of us need to ask to see this before we spend the money to find out... Poo and doo admintly show us what hey are...

Ouch. If that's an accurate number, they're still way off from being competitive. I don't like the super light competition, but over 500#s dry hurts my back already.

im with him. where did you get that number??
It may or may not be accurate.
But I KNOW there are only a HANDFUL of these PROTOTYPE sleds in existence and all of them are in West Yellowstone right now being ridden by dealers.

So these do not have an intercooler, (like the 1100t cat), and no rear heat exchanger?

yes it doesnt have the rear heat exchanger. which is fine with me ive never over heated my m8. i would assume on the intercooler they might have one on the MPI kit. but im not sure on that.

I'm extremely disappointed- what a Joke

BNG- an orange, blue , and white YAMACAT. THAT WEIGHS A TON, and a whole 180HP. for an extra $2K plus install fee. They had the same thing with the Nytro at least 2 years ago, Where in the He!! is the 5 new engines in the next 5 years Yamaha promised everybody. Luckily the Yamaha motors rock when they are boosted, put a 270HP kit on them and you might have something. Seems like Baby Steps to me.

I agree with you. I want Yamaha to succeed as much as the next guy. But IMHO, I think Yamaha failed for 2015. I, like a lot of people had high hopes. But to only bring out a chassis that EVERYONE saw coming is a let down. Until Yamaha gets competative on stock horse power, they will always be number 4. You gotta wonder when the board of directors is sitting around the table if they're asking themselves, why are we even producing snowmobiles. In the world of business it just doesn't make sense. I'm starting to think CMX sells as many mountain sleds as Yamaha. I too wonder what happened to the five new motors in five years. Are they all going to be introduced in 2020???

Ummm....you guys and your "expert" knowledge are good for a laugh if nothing else. The 2014 Viper is 22 pounds heavier than a 2014 M8. Not my opinion I own both. Add a can and lightweight battery and they are the same weight. Everybody we have let ride them both since we narrowed front end and put on long track on the Viper cannot tell a diff on ride and handling from the M8. The power diff is Viper has bottom end torque and Cat has to wind up for power....2 stroke vs 4 stroke of course.

But don't let facts get in the way of a good rumor.
