2015 SX

Here's the info. Scroll down the page a bit to the SX section.
http://www.timbersled.com/sbwhatsnew2015.htm

We have also decided to offer the SX in 3 configurations for Snow Check only:
SX 121 with standard/current SX track and full length tunnel
SX 120 with narrowed Mountain Track and full length tunnel
SX 137 with narrowed Mountain Track and full length tunnel

Due to how well the 2015 ST performs, quantities of the SX are still very limited for 2015.

Snow check starts in less than 8 hours at your local Timbersled Dealer!

Do you happen to know why they limit the build numbers on the SX kit? You would think if that's what the people want they would produce more... I mean c'mon, I just found out this morning that they are offering a long track SX kit and now there not available! Thanks

they are striving to make the ST and LT kits perform on the same level suspension wise and would like to simplify things as far as I can tell.

As WHM said above, as well, I would imagine that limiting the run on the SX kit should allow more production time for the ST's and LT's by simplifying/streamlining the manufacturing process, therefore increasing their overall numbers.

You are all correct on most of your assumptions with respect to why we did not build more SX kits. There are lots of reasons.

The main reason behind all the SX hype in my opinion, is because very few have actually ridden the 2015 ST kit, and felt how good of an all-around performer it is. You can ask Reagan, or watch the soon-to-be-released Jackson hill climb video of the 2015 ST vs. 2014 SX race. The ST pulled the SX twice in the climb. Really 3 times. More on that later.

The new ST has more available suspension travel than its predecessor, lower seat height, fits your bike like a glove, is bomb-proof, rides a million percent better (that's an obvious exaggeration, but close) uses the new chain case cover and chassis angles, and fits a multitude of bikes. Those are just a few reasons why the ST has 20x the production numbers of the SX. We ride them all, test them all, and we are putting our weight behind the ST and LT. Hopefully that says a lot.

Those lucky enough to get a 2015 ST/LT or SX will not be disappointed!

Thanks again to all of you for your help and support as we continue to grow and push this sport!

Pretty stupid in my opinion. And absolutely terrible marketing. I would have likely pulled the trigger on an sx 137 had I known there was one available from the start. I want something that handles like a real bike and will still climb.

My dollars will go elsewhere now.

137 sx

Yep disappointing. A narrow kit has got to feel and handle so much better. Not to mention a 450 should be able to spin track up a touch easier.

Is the UFO kit narrower fitting like the new sx?

No. It's same track as ST.

My crystal ball says we will have several more choices of snow bike kits by this time next year. I see more advanced suspensions, based on current sled technology, that provide more transfer and usable travel.

Maybe what timbersled is saying is that the new 2015 ST & LT kit will handle as well or better than the older based 2015 SX kit? Just a thought. If that is the case, is there really they need to offer more SX kits?

If the 15 STs and LTs performed as well as the SXs do you think they would have done new tunnels, air shocks, flex arm, long track option, different track and a bunch of other tweaks to the Sx? The new drive shaft location is about the same location as the SXs now, the difference in ride height could be a benefit though but I think the 15 SX is going to be killer!

If the 2015 St is close to the SX I would consider getting one just for simplicity.

At this point I am not sold and my 136 SX is still putting a smile on my face

every time I get on it after swapping bikes with someone else for a bit.
