2015 Pro RMK DET on lake

Had my 2015 Pro RMK DET on me while going across a lake, shut the sled right down, it started after and didn't do again?? also what clutching should be used in Northern Ontario

I am guess you hit the Rev limiter going across a lake and caused the DET... Make sure you have enough weight in your clutch for that type of riding. What elevation are you? Probably need 68 grams for sea level

If you're running the stock 62's in Kenora it's gonna hit the rev limiter all the time when pinned, giving you a det code on the speedo. It resets when you shut the sled down and restart, but stores the code in the ECM. You need to know what weights you have now in the primary. Weights are all you need to do to run it 0-2000ft.

It`s sad if the dealer doesn`t take the time to explain the importance of this.

Clutching for your customers elevation is part of PDI 101.

I know our dealer does not explain this. It is very sad.

A couple co-workers bought two new sleds locally and i had to give them a rundown of the dang things as the dealer just took their money and pushed them out the door.

I have a pretty good relationship with one of the parts guys (he comes to me with parts/upgrade/problem questions lol), i may just have a chat with him and get him to talk to the sales guys about this issue.
