........Edit guys it's the wired scratchers that have caused this issue......

Guys I wanted to give a warning out that I mounted a mountain addiction rack behind the gas can holder and the bolts it comes with hit the outer track paddles upon compression.... Luckily I caught it before too much damage was done....:noidea:

Correction... LOOK AT MY NEXT POST....my track is hitting the two tunnel bolts toward the front of the tunnel? Anyone else have this problem? I am tightening the track but it really was not overly loose.

I can't get to the images (maybe from the computer I'm on) so when you say "rack", are you talking about the two plastic mounting bars that the Mountain Addiction gas cans and tunnel bags slide on to?

I just installed a mountain addition tunnel bag, behind my gas can, on my 2014 kit but have not taken it for a ride, yet. Something I'll have to look at in the shop and/or on the first ride. Is the clearance between tunnel and track that much tighter on the 2015?

Ok guys so this is the deal.... There are no wear marks in the tunnel... The notches match up when I lean the bike to one side or another.... Can you guys look at you paddles on the left and right side ans see if you have any notching?

'15 rubs alot!

I see your pics but I'm not really seeing the damage? A little rubbing on bolt heads I think you are saying? All I know is I like my '14 kit alot better than my '15 , there is actually some clearance in the tunnel on the 14. My '15 kit I feel rubbing all the time when riding, especially as I build up some ice in the tunnel. I don't think a little rubbing is a big deal, but it sucks not being able to run a 2.3 inch track. maybe replace the problem bolts with a lower profile option. thanks for the heads up!

So if you look real close about midway down the lug it is notching..... Everyone of my outside lugs have the same notching in them.

Are you running any type of ice scratcher by chance? I had a set from Dura Flex on a sled of mine with similar results to my track. Had to turn the mount down more. Don't see anything on my 2015 ST that would rub on the side of paddle like that. Think ST and LT are the same except length of course.

There is also no sign of rubbing on the tunnel so that is why I am confused.

You need to flip the bolts around. You want nothing hanging in the tunnel. That's what I would do.

Wow now I feel stupid... I will do that anyways but I am thinking it might be the scratchers we will see tomorrow...

After looking at the photo's. It's not the rack bolts. I thing when you lean the cable scratcher is getting smacked by the paddles. the marks are half up the paddle. Correct?. the scrapper is stationary and the track is moving. Problem found. Now the solution.:face-icon-small-dis

I think I would agree... We will see I am switching to the traditional Spring loaded ones... No one is having and issue with those right?

No issues with the cheapo wire ice scratchers that i am aware of. I've been running the "RSI waycool" ones for a year and track and hyfax look brand new. They were $35 when i got them. Manufacturers site is:

Most wire ones should work fine and take about 2 minutes to put on. No reverse so no specific need for cable-type scratchers.

I took off the wire we will see... I have a tilt trailer so sometimes I forget to put the scratchers up and slide backwards... so that was the reason for getting those... So I am just going to go scratcher less for now...
